All of us start to promote our new website or blog through various offline and online strategies. Hence we are always keen to know the progress of the work we have done. Knowing about the backlinks of your own site would definitely help you in my ways. So therefore for a newbie the most obvious question is how to check the backlinks of my site.

People like to check the backlinks in a different way. Some like to use a software or others simply go to google.com and search by site:domain.com but in this case google would not reveal all the backlinks and the reason is supposed to be link spamming.

You will find a lot of sites today which can help you find out your site’s backlinks in a easy and a instant way. All you have to do is just put the URL of your site and they would show you the backlinks and some are highly modified to show you the pagerank also.

Planning offline promotion

Hie everyone,, As you all know I have recently started this blog. This is my 3rd post on the site. I have added the subscription tab along with the twittercounter tab. Now users can subscribe to my blog by putting in their email address and can also follow me on twitter.

I am now looking forward to do some offline promotion for the blog. I would be doing online promotion but at the same time I wanna do offline promotion also. Here is what I have planned for offline promotion -

Business Card – I am going to get my business cards printed and would give it out everytime I meet a new person. I am a outgoing person and I meet new people quite often. So this will definitely be a good idea. These cards are very cheap. So its an economical way of promoting the blog.

Newspapers – As you know, Newspapers are a great way of getting exposure. I am planning to give out my blog’s advertisements in few newspapers. First I wanna do that in my city and then would like to do it all over India. That will definitely give me a lot of exposure.

Freebies – Remember those livestrong’s yellow wrist bands. I am getting made bands like those and also few t-shirts, badge, etc. I will be giving out these things as soon as they are ready.

Facebook username login

We all remember, few months back facebook announced the user names feature. Meaning every user could have their unique username. Over 50 million users have them, Now all of them can login to facebook.com with their username instead of email.

The new feature was announced by facebook yesterday, which allows users to skip the extra characters.

I think this is a great feature, as username is easy to remember. Like always, facebook has being doing great things and this feature is one of them.

Hey Guys, Welcome to Ableblogger. This is my first post, I had this blog running earlier but I had to stop it for some reasons but now I have decided to start this blog once again. This would be a general blog. It would contain all the general topics which Include tech news, Wordpress, Reviews, Interviews, Blogging tips and tricks, Money Making tips, etc..
